ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say an officer
was arrested on drunken driving charges after crashing a patrol car
into a concrete barrier.
Police say Cpl. Fernando Martinez was not injured in the crash
Friday night. Officers found the vehicle stopped in the left
shoulder on northbound Route 270 with minor damage to the front
and driver's side. Police say the arrest powers of the 33-year-veteran of the force
have been suspended while an investigation is conducted.
