Derailment slows travel for DC Cherry Blossom fest

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says repairs to tracks where a Red Line
train derailed Friday are not expected to be completed until early
Monday. Until then trains between Friendship Heights and Medical
Center will use one track instead of two.
Metro warned travelers during the busy opening weekend of the
Cherry Blossom Festival to expect delays.
No injuries were reported in the derailment at the Bethesda
subway station. A preliminary investigation found a broken piece of
rail caused the derailment of the two trains.
