Working fire in Springfield




DC Tv News - Fairfax County Fire fighters were on the scene of a working fire in Springfield, Va this afternoon. The fire was reported around 4:30pm at 8661 Center Road.


When Firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke in the rear of a 1.5 story dwelling. They requested an additional engine.


Everyone was safely evacuated and the fire was knocked down within 15-20 minutes.
2 adults have been displaced, Red Cross assiting the displaced residents. There were no injuries.Damage is estimated at $75,000.The cause of the fire, was accidental, improperly discarded smoking materials on the rear of deck caused the fire.
